Community Guidelines
This is a platform built by golfers for golfers. Everything below is how we keep it that way. Treat people how you'd want to be treated on the course.
What makes a good listing
Clear photos, honest condition, realistic value. That's the whole recipe.
- Photos - shoot your own gear in decent light. Stock photos and manufacturer renders get removed.
- Condition - describe wear honestly. "Like new" means like new. "Good" means played but cared for. If it has a crown scratch, say so.
- Value - price what you'd actually pay today for it. Wildly high asks get skipped and wildly low asks usually mean something's wrong.
- What you want - the "looking for" field is what gets you matched. Be specific. "A G430 Max 10.5°" finds trades. "Drivers" doesn't.
How a trade works
- Somebody proposes a trade. You accept, counter, or decline.
- Both sides sign the digital agreement - it locks in who's shipping what.
- Both sides ship within 3 business days with tracking and a drop-off photo.
- Both sides confirm delivery. The trade closes. You can leave reviews.
End-to-end it's usually 7-10 days. Every step is logged on the trade page so you always know where things stand.
What isn't allowed
- Counterfeit gear. Fakes get removed and the account gets flagged. No warnings.
- Scam attempts. Anyone asking for payment via Venmo, Zelle, PayPal F&F, or gift cards is scamming you. Report and block.
- Off-platform deals. Moving a trade to text or email strips away the agreement, the tracking, and the dispute protection. Don't do it.
- Harassment. Rude, aggressive, or threatening messages end the account.
- Spam / throwaway accounts. One account per person. Mass-listing the same item across burner profiles gets everything removed.
- Non-golf items. Golf gear only. This isn't eBay.
Reporting bad actors
If you see something off - a counterfeit listing, a pushy DM, a suspicious request - hit the Report button on the listing or user. Email us directly at support@golftradr.comwith screenshots if you've got them. We read every report and usually respond within a day.
How disputes get handled
If the gear doesn't arrive, shows up broken, or isn't what was described - open a dispute from the trade page. We review the signed agreement, the messages, the drop-off photo, and the tracking, then decide a fair outcome. Most disputes wrap up in 5 business days.
Dispute decisions are final. Submitting a bad-faith dispute to try to keep both your gear and the other person's gets the account banned.
If you like it here, bring a friend
Every member has a referral link on their profile. When a friend signs up through it and starts a paid plan, you both get a free month tacked onto your subscription. No limit on how many people you can refer. It's the cheapest way to build a healthier trading pool for everyone.
The spirit of the place
Golf is a small world. Somebody you trade with today is someone you might end up standing next to on the first tee at a muni three states over. Be the person they'd trade with again.
